Our Mission Statement
The objective of the Berkley High School FIRST Robotics team is to inspire students to achieve their full personal potential; to assist students in developing as problem solvers, critical thinkers, and involved citizens; and to help students become aware of career pathways and educational outcomes through an engineering based curriculum.
Our Schools
Our team incorporates students from both Berkley High School and Hazel Park High School, both located in Michigan.
History
Our team was started in 1999, by a group of students. After 11 years and a new coach, our team is still strong. Last year, we took 2nd place in the National Competition in Atlanta, Georgia.
Community Outreach
Team 247 has many fundraisers to spread the word of FIRST. Many small businesses in the community give small donations because they hear about the team through employees that participate in fundraisers.
